Mossy Roots & Moss Agate

The magical part of being an artist is that I never know what's coming next. ...
no premonition as to how my eyes and mind will perceive in unique ways that will stir my authentic juices to bead, write, or grab my camera. When I'm in a creative bliss state, the process flows freely. As a Pisces, I often think about water and how it moves ... even more so this week as RI and other devastated New England states deal with unprecedented "200 year" flooding. Thankfully, my friends and family have been spared as well as most of my community. While flood victims wait for relief via FEMA, the National Guard, and the Red Cross - I think about how my cup is full to overflowing with gratitude - not deadly waters. My gratitude has given me a deeper appreciation for high ground, rootedness and moss greening in spring. ... and so, to my bead board with moss agate seed beads and an "as found" semi-precious stone pendant - Sterling, pink and green. I love threading beads into one-of-a-kind necklaces. I'm reminded that the life thread is stronger than anything that can happen to it. Life always finds a way and hope springs eternal as the Creator empowers our survival skills and inspires our creative callings.
